We came of age in the mid-sixties. It is hard to believe the changes we went through and our world went through in the years between 1963 and 1967. Did we make the times or did the times make us? Whether or not we ever meet at a physical reunion, we can start our virtual reuniting here. |

Over 700 of us have been FOUND and have written profiles about who we were THEN and who we are NOW
The LOST section is where we look for those still missing.
IN MEMORIAM is our place to recall departed friends.
REUNIONS lists reunion info for all classes.
SCRAPBOOK has pictures of us, our families, our school, our town, and downloadable pdfs of the 1963, 1966 and 1967 yearbooks (1964 and 1965 are in process.)
THANKS is a collection of your kind words about this website, which lives on love.
A WALK DOWN MEMORY LANE WITH ...
Ellen Harris, a former student of P. S. 20, Class 1-3 and Class 2-2
I am trying to locate some of my old friends from P. S. 20, but I only know their first names. When I knew them I was only 7 years old- and that was in 1954. We lived on Bowne street, across the street from the school. Then my family moved far away. Our teacher was Mrs. Marian Voigt. Our first grade room was 105. When we moved to our second grade room, our whole class and teacher went together to the second floor.
Some of my classmates were: Rosemary, Judy, Marianne, Sheila, Connie, Barbara, Leslie, Sidney, Steven, Philip, David, Barry the red head, Sharon, Carol, Karl, Brian, Robert, Otis
I remember Mrs Voigt brought in orange jello with a chocolate chip face. We had a play about Spring. We wore flower hats. And the kid who played Mother Nature was a boy! We were the first class to get polio shots and lollipops. While our yellow classroom was being painted blue, we had to sit in the library. When the Pledge changed to include the words, "under God" our temporary classroom was the gym.
Ellen would be interested to know if anyone of the 1965 or 1964 Flushing High graduates share the same memories she does. Please contact Rose and she will pass your message on.
